"This specialty shop for home remodeling and tile is a wonderful addition to the City and a real boost to the local economy." A haven for renovators and contractors alike, the new Tile Shop is the seventh location in Illinois and the closest to Chicago. The store showcases tiled vignettes throughout, offering mock-up rooms to present the customer with design ideas and spark inspirational renovation concepts. The store opened in response to the great demand by homeowners and contractors for specialty tiles. Based in Minnesota, the Tile Shop is a corporate chain that has been growing steadily over the past few years. Customer traffic has been consistent and heavy since the store's opening. "We are thankful to the people of Countryside for welcoming our store into the community with such warmth," said Store Manager Erik Carlson. "Whether you're building a new home or fixing the old one, we want everyone to feel right at home here at the Tile Shop." A grand-opening celebration in partnership with Chicago Home + Garden Magazine will take place on February 4, 2009 with additional details to be announced.
