Gather your family and friends and come to the Countryside Christmas Tree Lighting. Spend part of your evening and help Countryside kick off the holiday season. Christmas Tree Lighting Memorial Park, 55th Street and Plainfield Road Friday, Nov. 23 6 p.m. Start off the holidays with Countryside! Join us for Christmas carols, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving on the fire truck, and hot chocolate. The City of Countryside encourages you to park on both sides of Catherine Avenue, followed by Kensington Avenue. The Christmas Tree lighting is the last of the 17 special events Countryside hosted as part of gocountryside.net Celebrate 2007 presented by Vulcan Materials Company and sponsored by AT&T.
