Countryside recently participated in the Illinois Route 66 Heritage Project and is still seeking residents stories, photos and memories.

Residents were invited to the workshop to share information about Countryside's portion of Rt. 66 from stories about the historic route to former physical icons.

The meeting was one of eight regional meetings that were held throughout the State to gather information about Rt. 66 and generate awareness and enthusiasm for the project.
