When: Friday, Sept. 8: 10 a.m. Where: Countryside Park 630 61st Street (1/2 block east of Brainard Avenue) Countryside, Illinois Who: Countryside Police Officers, area K-9 officers and area police officers, Countryside City Council and residents More info: Countryside Officer Joseph DiGangi and K-9 Dago (pronounced dâh-go) responded to a call on Aug. 4 involving shots fired from a vehicle that was being pursed by the Cicero Police Department. While Dago was attempting to locate the offender he was shot twice by a Cicero police officer. After the unfortunate event, Dago was rushed to the Berwyn Animal Hospital where doctors and staff worked hard to save his life. Dago's Tour of Duty ended on August 4, 2006. |
