The summer is already half over but there is still plenty of time for fun! The summer is already half over but there is still plenty of time for fun! Mark your calendar for the the Countryside movie series, the place for outdoor entertainment under the stars in the Western Suburbs.
Movies begin at 8:30 p.m. on Fridays at Countryside Park, 61st Street, one-half block east of Brainard Avenue

July 28: Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit The movie series opens with "Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit." Bring a blanket, picnic basket and chairs and enjoy an animated adventure that features the title characters using their inventions to capture a tricky rabbit. (Rain date is July 31.)
Aug. 4: Yours, Mine and Ours Countryside's Movies in the Park presents "Yours, Mine and Ours," a family comedy about a wedding and the combination of two families with 18 children between them. (Rain date is Aug. 7.)
Aug. 11: The Incredibles Countryside's movie series continues with "The Incredibles," an action-packed animated adventure about the mundane and incredible lives of a house full of superheroes. (Rain date is Aug. 14.)
Aug. 18: The Goonies Countryside's final movie of the summer is "The Goonies." Bring a blanket, picnic basket and chairs and watch a group of kids embark on a wild adventure after finding a pirate treasure map. (Rain date is Aug. 21.)
