Be sure to check out their Extreme Machine exhibit. |  |  | | Countryside City Council and Vulcan Materials Company representatives announced the entertainment line-up for Countryfest 2006. | We kicked off Countryfest last night with a great crowd, spectacular entertainment and lots of fun. The weekend's forecast calls for great weather, perfect for spending your time at Countryfest!
Countryside's community festival is going on through Sunday, July 23. All the fun is in a new location, 55th Street and East Avenue. Bring your family, friends and neighbors and join us for entertainment, a variety of music, carnival rides, food, fun and more!

Friday, July 21Food & rides: 6 - 11 p.m.

6 - 10 p.m. B 96 Live Remote - Food Tent From B96 radio personalities Styles and Roman will be broadcasting live!
6 - 7 p.m. Joe "Elvis" Tirrito - Main Stage A Countryside native, this Elvis impersonator has been performing for 20 years and has even appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. With his electric energy he is able to instill the joy he feels while making music. Before you know it he will have you up and dancing in your "Blue Suede Shoes."
7:05 p.m. Elvis Look-a-Like Contest - Main Stage Register at the info booth to win cash prizes ($100, $50, $25)
7:15 - 9 p.m. Mickey and the Memories - Main Stage Performing the great hits of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Since its inception in 1983, Mickey and the Memories have emerged as one of the hottest oldies bands in the country. For more than 15 years, they have been presenting "The Ultimate Rock'n Soul Reunion" to excited audiences everywhere.
9:30 - 11 p.m. Cryan Shames - Main Stage Originally from Chicago, the Cryan Shames will take you back to the 60's with their inspired music from the Beatles, the Byrds, and the Yardbirds. They play a show stopping performance and will have the audiences asking for more!

1:45 - 2:30 p.m., 3:15 - 4 p.m. Comedy Juggler Andy Head - Front of Main Stage Juggler and entertainer, Andy Head has been delighting audiences for over 21 years. As a world class-performing artist, Andy presents over 100 family-friendly shows annually. His unique talent has taken him to Japan, Canada, Europe, and throughout the U.S. Andy delivers a blend of juggling, comedy, and audience participation - that'll have you laughing and smiling 'til your face hurts!

5 - 6:30 p.m. Moon Crickets - Main Stage Moon Crickets is a collaboration of veteran Chicago area musicians with an average of twenty years' experience under their belts. Featuring powerful vocals, strong harmonies, and accomplished musicianship, Moon Crickets covers a wide variety of rock/alternative hits and album cuts from the 70s through today, along with a growing list of original songs.
7:15 - 8:45 p.m. Hot Rocks - Main Stage Hot Rocks presents a total celebration of the "Stones" experience with costumes and a spectacular light show (complete with strobes and fog) to its already animated performance. Hot Rocks will rock you! The band looks forward to many more years of Rockin' & Rollin' and keeping the music of "Da Stones" alive and kickin'! 9:30 - 11 p.m. American English - Main Stage American English presents the most memorable music of all time! Their performance of the classic Beatle favorites from the early years captures the very essence of John, Paul, George and Ringo! Take a trip with American English as they recreate the psychedelic era of The Beatles!

5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Missing Ted - Main Stage
7 - 8:15 p.m. Off Broadway - Main Stage A band born out of Chicago as one of the Midwest's finest rock bands that emerged from the late 70s playing live through the early 80's. Today Off Broadway has matured into a new perspective on the material, which translates most effectively to their loyal audiences.
8:30 - 10:30 p.m. Mr. Blotto - Main Stage Mr. Blotto has been around since 1991 playing their blues, folk, rock and country inspired music. They play music from the Grateful Dead, The Allman's, Talking Heads, along with some truly great original music. They will keep your toes tapping through out the night!
