Keeping it Fresh: COUNTRYSIDE, Ill. - Countryside's billboard on the Stevenson Expressway has been emblazoned with a fresh design and a new message. The new design is just the latest evidence of Countryside's multi-faceted campaign to continue mobilizing economic development in the City. The bold new billboard advertises the City's prime retail sites while promoting a key business luxury of being located in Countryside-the fact that there's no municipal property tax.
"Countryside is a great place to do business," said Mayor Robert Conrad. "We have tremendous opportunities in our City from retail store fronts to available land for development. We want to get the word out about our business community and the advantages of being located in Countryside."
The billboard is positioned along the outbound Stevenson Expressway, before the LaGrange Road exit. The board features Countryside's development Web site, www.gocountryside.net/development as well as a contact phone number so passers-by can call for more information on the available retail sites. The number is 1-877-NOTAX-99. The billboard also showcases Countryside's exit number, 279B, to provide added guidance to interested travelers.
"It's important for us to keep things fresh to communicate Countryside's business opportunities effectively," Conrad said.
The new billboard is part of Countryside's bold economic development campaign. A market assessment and redevelopment strategy for the City's commercial corridors is being completed while the City is actively marketing two properties on LaGrange Road. Countryside is continuing to welcome new and expanding businesses with "Getting It Done" signs throughout the City.
