Continental Nissan moves up in dealership ranking COUNTRYSIDE, Ill. - Car dealerships are continuing to rapidly grow along LaGrange Road. Continental Nissan is the latest to expand its business, recently acquiring the former dealership occupied by Autobarn Mazda.
When Mazda announced its relocation and expansion earlier this year, Nissan seized the opportunity to increase its property size and business capability. The expansion has provided Continental Nissan with more room for inventory, storage display and frontage.
"We are thrilled to offer Countryside residents an even more enjoyable car-buying experience," said Jay Weinberger of Continental Nissan. "We expect the expansion to have a positive impact on our local economy as we are already seeing returns to our dealership."
Since the new facility became operational on January 1, Continental Nissan increased its volume among 28 competing Nissan dealers in the Chicago area from the fifth best ranking to the third. Members of the community have welcomed the expansion as it provides the convenience of a one-stop shop.
"Before, a customer may have had to leave the dealership to look at a car off-site," said Weinberger. "We can now offer all of our stock in one place to provide more convenience for customers."
The new property will grow its used car operation as well as increase its services to include car detailing. The expansion provides customers with easy access and a navigable environment for locating the perfect Nissan. The dealership is even more conducive to business as all inventories are on prominent display within the side-by-side properties.
"Our dealerships are taking the opportunity to grow with us in Countryside," Mayor Robert Conrad said. "These dealerships are not only expanding but have more to offer their customers with their large inventories."
Countryside is home to 13 auto brands and 11 auto dealers. The Countryside Auto Mall offers the expediency of a variety of cars in one central location along LaGrange and Joliet roads.
This expansion is in line with various projects and improvements taking place throughout the City. LaGrange Road will be part of a beautification project which will include lighting, signage and walkways. The City also is aggressively marketing two properties on LaGrange Road for retail use.
